Bought new HDTV and surround sound, perfect assortment of needed cables and the length was perfect.
Look carefully, you don't get 2 HDMI cables, only 1.The other cable is a bulky 5 wire "COMPONENT" set.I think it's an overpriced and deceptive package.I've been buying the MEDIABRIDGE HDMI cables here and I've bought several more for my friends who just bought high end LCD or Plasma TVs.Most of the cables I bought included free (AMAZON Prime) shipping and arrived in a week. You can afford to wait and save big bucks.Even Walmart's cheapest cable (Phillips brand) is $38 right now.Mediabridge cables are fully HDMI compliant, have gold tips, and are under $10.Yes, they work great with your 120 MHz LCD, Blu Ray DVD player, and cable boxes.NOTE: Many cable boxes need to be configured internally to get sound to work with HDMI cables - that's not a bad cable, it's the cable box setup. Change your settings to "HDMI" instead of "Dolby" and put the volume to "FIXED" instead of "Variable")Use the money you saved to buy a DVD.
It was great because he could set it all up without running to the store. I bought this with a 52" Samsung for my husband for Father's Day. Highly recommend it.
As a first time buyer of an HDTV, this really is a good buy. Has all that you need.
Would return the kit but the one HDMI cable is now inside the wall. Amazon really should separate the reviews since the kits are different. wall mount version that only comes with one cable. Looking at everything again I see that I ordered the (more expensive). Imagine my surprise when they came to install my TV and soundbar and the box only contained 1 HDMI cable. I ordered this based on the reviews - especially since it indicated that there were 2 HDMI cables. I checked the box and no where does it indicate that there are two. Ended up never using the component cables and got stuck paying $30 for another HDMI cable from the installer.
